Gary Goldman England

Gary Goldman England, 84, passed away on April 20, 2024. He was born January 31, 1940 to Goldman and Juanita (Cook) England in Florence, Arizona. Having grown up in the Casa Grande Valley of Arizona, Gary became an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed swimming, skiing, tennis, motorcycling, road biking, archery and shooting sports. He was an avid hunter throughout his life and enjoyed the simple activity of being outdoors and in the woods with his family and friends.
Gary's career path began in Arizona where he started prepping cars for Earl Scheib. In Oklahoma he would become a painter and then lead painter for Downtown Chevrolet. As fate would have it, the local 3M rep at that time (Henry Chatfield) was approaching his retirement. He hand-selected Gary to become his replacement. Gary seized the opportunity. He flourished with 3M for 32 years; changing the very nature of how they approached the automotive trades through distribution points. He retired as an "Account Executive." Though he was offered numerous opportunities to transfer into larger roles and bigger markets, he opted to prioritize his family and remained centered in the Oklahoma City market. He was very respected and loved by his customers who to this day ask his son (also in the automotive trades) about his wellbeing.
Gary achieved 62 years of dedication to his wife Sonja Lee England. He truly adored his family. He was a wonderful father to his two sons, handing many of his interests down to them. He was a committed believer in our messiah Jesus Christ and longed to share the gospel with those who would listen.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Myna Hines. His is survived by his wife, Sonja England; sons, Ty (Justina) England and Greg (Jennie) England; grandchildren, Aspen (Michael) Saldana, Christian England, Levi (Kenna) England, Mattie England, Stephen England, Kevin England, Rachel (Petral) Abong, David England, Adam England, Bekah England, and Laura England; and great-grandchildren, Kadence Saldana, Kamden Saldana, Kasen Saldana, Kolton Saldana, Kenzleigh Saldana, Foster Abong and Daniel Abong.
Viewing will be Friday from 9am-8pm with family present from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 27 at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment to follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
