Phyllis Juanita McArthur, 97, passed away February 17, 2026 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born on August 8, 1928 to Robert and Mary Addye (Vaughn) Jameson in Quapaw, OK. She graduated from Bethany Peniel College (now Southern Nazarene University) and served as an elementary school teacher.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents as well as her beloved husband of 57 years, Dr. Lloyd "Glenn" McArthur. She is survived by her son, Dr. Robert McArthur (Donna); her daughter, Glynna Poff (Doug); sister, Carole Boomer; 6 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Viewing at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, Bethany, OK, is Friday, 12 to 8 p.m. with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene, 11 a.m., on Saturday, February 21st.
