Gary was born on May 23, 1958 in Manning, IA, and he was the son of Howard and Velma (Zeller) Fell. He grew up on his family's farm near Bayard, IA, and graduated from Bayard High School. Gary continued his education at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake where he played football as offensive guard and earned his bachelor's degree in business. After graduation he returned home to take over the family farm. On February 15, 1999, Gary was united in marriage to Tina Mozena and this union was blessed with one child Gabriel. Gary and Tina made their home on the family farm south of Bayard. Gary loved farming and his family. He loved to reminisce about his college days and playing football. He enjoyed traveling to tropical areas during the winter where he was always up for swimming, snorkeling, or just relaxing on the beach. Gary also enjoyed boating and going for pontoon rides on the lakes, riding his motorcycle, watching his favorite sport football, and driving his Corvette. Gary was a thoughtful, dedicated, fun loving, strong man who had a great faith and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tina; son Gabriel Fell of Bayard; a brother-in-law Tim Mozena (Terri) of Alexandria, NH; and several nieces and nephews.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Velma Fell; his in-laws Richard and Gloria Mozena; a sister Mary Jo Scheuermann and her husband Dean.

Played behind Fellsy at BV. He was one of the hardest workers on the team. Gave 100% every play / every practice. Off the field he was one of the nicest guys you could encounter. Great example for a newbie on the team. Everybody that knew Fellsy, knew farming was the only thing he aspired to do. 15 minutes after graduation, Fellsy had his pick-up packed & headed to his beloved farm!!! Not everyone knows exactly what they want to do early on and follows it through to the end. Gary Fell did!!
Farm on Fellsy, .................until then Buddy!!! Bub
