Born on August 25, 1959, son of the late Gordon and Phyllis Wright Fink.
Gary grew up in Ripley, graduated from Ripley Central High School prior to moving to North East where he was employed with the North East Borough for 20+ years, as well as Smokey Bones for 20+ years. He and Jackie raised their family in North East prior to moving to Erie. He retired from Penn State Behrend maintenance department in 2023. Gary enjoyed being outdoors, camping, family, friends, and never turned away from a good time.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert, sister-in-law
Cheri, and a number of dear friends.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jacqulyn Kennedy Fink, two daughters; Kara Osgood of St. Paul, MN and Katie Jones of Erie, PA, son-in-law Justin Jones and two beautiful granddaughters; Hannah Osgood and Allison Jones. His mother-in-law Anna Kennedy, brother William (Joan), sisters; Brenda (George) and Pamela (Tony), several dear in-laws, nieces, nephews, close friends, and the camp family.
Gary shared his gifts of kindness, love and laughter with everyone he encountered. No one was ever a stranger-just a friend he hadn't met yet.
The Kloecker Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. is handling the private arrangements.
A Celebration of Life will be held in early summer 2025.
