Gary W. Flebbe

Gary W. Flebbe, 84, of Louisville died on Thursday, September 21, 2023. A loving husband, father, brother and grandfather, he will be deeply missed. Gary touched numerous lives during his thirty-five-year career as a middle school and high school teacher and coach with Boulder Valley School District. Extremely active in his community, Gary was a proud member and supporter of the Knights of Columbus, Colorado Coaches Association, Colorado Outdoor Buddies, Real Choices, and Outward Bound as a trip leader for students. He was a distinguished member of the University of Colorado Boulder C Club. Gary lived his life to the fullest, enjoying hobbies including cycling, fishing, hunting, skiing, rock climbing, boxing, scuba diving, camping, and travel. Well known for his green thumb, he grew the most amazing produce and flowers. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Donna; brothers Greg, of Windsor and Garris, of Pea Green; daughter Stephanie, of Erie; son Steve, and daughter in law Nina, of Long Beach, CA; grandson, W. Gavin Bennett of Thornton and granddaughter, Mia of Long Beach, CA. A Mass of Christian Burial and Celebration of his life will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church,1318 Mapleton Ave. 80304 in Boulder, CO on Monday, October 23, 2023 at 10:30am. A reception for family and friends will be held following the service. Contributions honoring Gary may be made to the Rock Mountain Parkinson's Association or Tru Community Care Hospice.
