Foster, Gary E., 82, Shirleysburg, passed away on November 20, 2025, at UPMC Altoona. Born June 7, 1943, Canton, OH, son of the late Ronder R. and Mary B. (Wheeler) Foster. Also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy and her husband, Ed Davis; his best friend, Reuben Finnell; and his beloved cat, Crapper. Survived by his children, Lori (Mike) Patterson, Jodi (Kenny) Griffith, Tony (Christine) Foster, and Tom (Millie) Foster; grandchildren, Jordan (Arlee) Foster, Mackenzie (Caleb) Fehrman, Michaela Patterson, Jacob Patterson, and Erin Foster; great-grandchildren; Owen Fehrman, Callie Fehrman, and Alivia Foster; a nephew, Rick (Gwynn) Davis; and a niece, Susan (Mark) Zinkon. Gary graduated from Coshocton High School in Ohio. After high school, he served in the Army National Guard. Gary was a proud veteran and was a longtime member of the American Legion. He was also the proud owner of Foster’s Monument Company. In his spare time, Gary enjoyed getting coffee at the American Legion Stone House with his friends. He also was often found outside doing his favorite activities, golfing and gardening. Most of all, Gary cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Per Gary’s wishes, inurnment and graveside services will take place at a later date at Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette, Ohio. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
