David Lee “Dave” Reed, 85, of Huntingdon, passed away on November 16, 2025, at UPMC Altoona Hospital. Born October 24, 1940, Huntingdon, son of the late Walter L. and Rose R. (Fox) Reed. David was preceded in death to Linda M. (Wharton) and Bonnie L. (Swope). David was also preceded in death by brothers George L. Reed, Robert M. Reed; sisters Mary L. Hoover, Doris A. Stitt. David is survived by his wife Sarah Jane (Miller). Additionally, David is survived by daughter, Jill (Jim) Hassinger; sons, David M. Reed, Matthew W. (Amy) Reed; stepchildren, Tim Corbin, Matthew Corbin; grandchildren, Craig (Kelsey) Hassinger, Jarrett (Brianna) Hassinger, Olivia Reed, Jenifer Reed, Allison Reed, Nicole Reed, Ashley King, Zack Corbin; great-grandchildren Elloise Hassinger, Lucille Hassinger, Robyn Swope, Rayven Swope, Elanor Corbin; sister Barbara (Kerry) Jackson. Upon graduation from Huntingdon High School, David enlisted in the United States Navy where he earned the rank of E-4. After an honorable discharge of the Navy, he was employed as a pressman by J.B Kunz Company of Huntingdon and later Strine Printing of York, where he retired. During his retirement he worked for Dick’s Home Care delivering medical equipment to homes. In David’s free time, he enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. In his earlier years he was an active member of the Captain Jack Lions Club and also coached and was president of the Huntingdon Little League. A Visitation will be held, Friday, November 21, 2025, at Mount Union Presbyterian Church, 2 E. Shirley St. Mount Union from 9:00 -11:00 with a service at 11:00. Rev. Beverly Skopic officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dave’s memory may be made to Mount Union Presbyterian Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
