Family was the center of Gary's world. Gary was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Don Francis and mother Margaret Fern (Mayfield) Francis. He shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Carla of 53 years.
He was a proud father to Jennifer and Jeremy, and to his son Jason, who preceded him in death. Gary lovingly welcomed his children's spouses into the family: Nathan Clements, husband of Jennifer, and Jennifer Francis, wife of Jeremy. His legacy lives on through his nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Gary is also survived by his loving siblings, Liz Roedel, Debbie Smith, and Mike Francis, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating Gary's life will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home in Odessa.
