Gary Lee Gilpatrick passed away on Monday, April 22, 2013, going home with his Heavenly Father to be reunited with his parents Jack and Maxine Gilpatrick to whom he was born on April 1, 1943 in Oakland, CA. Gary was affectionately known as Pawpaw, Pop and Dude by his family and friends. He lived most of his life in California, attended Deanza High School in Richmond, California and worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 38 years before retiring. San Francisco 49ERs and Joe Montana was a large inspiration in his life. Gary leaves to cherish his memory his wife; DeAnn Gilpatrick, step-children, Michaela (Robert) Massey, Chris (Amanda) Durham of Sherwood, Arkansas. His children JoAnne (Jeff) Dodge of Falls Village, CT; Angela (Jeff) Simpson of Hercules, CA; Robbie Gilpatrick of Rodeo, CA; and their mother and his first wife, Lillian Gilpatrick. His precious grandchildren; Haley, Hannah, Brooke, Nicholas, Maxwell, Emily, Nathan, Hunter, Victoria and Fisher. His loving sister, Pat (George) Harp of McDonough, GA; brother, Michael (Rosie) Gilpatrick of Rodeo, CA; and all other family and friends. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills, 7724 Landers Road in North Little Rock. Funeral services will be 2:00 Sunday, May 5th, 2013 in the Chapel at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills, Pastor William Hugh Yarborough officiating, burial will follow at Gravel Ridge Cemetery. www.griffinleggettresthills.com
