Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel - WorcesterGary T. Gomez, 73 of Worcester, passed away in St. Vincent’s Hospital on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
Gary was born in Worcester, one of three children to Willis and Mary (Corvino) Gomez. He graduated for Worcester Schools and worked as an over the road truck driver for many years traveling across the country.
Gary is survived by four children, Ronilee Gomez, Heather Gomez, Jason Gomez all of Virginia Beach, VA. and Gary T. Gomez, Jr,; a grandson, Rylan; a sister, Susan Hughes of Worcester; two nieces, Shelley Lemieux of Oxford and Sharyn Hughes of Grafton; great nieces and nephews, Kayla Leary of Rindge, NH, Ryan Lemieux of Worcester and Cameron Winn of Oxford; great great niece and nephew, Kinsley and Chase Leary both of Rindge, NH. He also leaves many friends at his apartment complex in Worcester. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by a brother, Robert Gomez.
A graveside service for Gary will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge St., Worcester. MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
