Gary Foster Green, 75, of Industry, Illinois passed away on Wednesday January 11, 2023 at his residence. He was born August 16, 1947 in Macomb, IL to Oscar and Dorothy (Foster) Green. He married Jacqueline "Jackie" Ann Nelson on May 3, 1974 in Canton, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Connie (Don) Lookis of Riverton, IL; Cindy (Jamie) Deutsch of Shabbona, IL; five grandchildren, Steve Lookis, Ella Lookis, Christian (Lexi) Deutsch, Anthony (Haley) Deutsch, Taylor Deutsch, two great-grand grandchildren Brantley and Bennett, one sister Beth (Ron) Horwedel of Chatham, IL, niece Anne (Matt) Chegwidden of Columbia, MO, nephew Joel (Jenny) Horwedel of Chatham, IL, and great-nieces and nephews Jack, Stella, Maxwell, and Darcy.
Gary grew up in Table Grove, Illinois. After graduating from VIT High School in 1965, he went to Spoon River College for Ag Mech and soon after was drafted to the United States Army, fighting in the Vietnam War. After his tour he moved to Peoria where he worked for Caterpillar and met his wife. In 1975, they moved back to Table Grove to work on the family farm and raise their daughters. Gary was an avid tennis player, fisherman, hunter, and all around outdoorsman. He's remembered for his great sense of humor and conversations.
Cremation Rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Industry Fire & Rescue. Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Please sign the guestbook and leave condolences at
