Gary Lee Hagen, Sr. passed away peacefully while surrounded by family after a brief battle with lung cancer. Gary was one of ten children from George Carl Hagen and Hazel Lavinia LaPolice Hagen. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam war. He worked for Sperry and McDonnell Douglas as a quality assurance manager contributing to multiple aerospace projects. After retiring, he was Mr. Mom and he spent his time curating his backyard masterpiece and cooking amazing Thanksgiving stuffing, spaghetti, and stew. He always had the solution to a crossword clue and he prided himself on quickly solving cryptoquote and word scramble puzzles. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sitting around the campfire with friends and family. He was always willing to show someone around the backyard and share stories about the latest hummingbird, hawk, or kingfisher that he saw. He is survived by six of his siblings, his wife of 40 years, Barbara Ann Hagen, his children, Alisha (Michael) Johnson, Brant Lee (Angie) Hagen, Gary Lee (Christine) Hagen, Jr., and Ryan (Brandy) Hawkins, and his seven grandchildren. The family will hold a private memorial at a future date.
