Gary Hancock Obituary
Gary Albert Hancock, 82, of Moultrie, formerly of Albany, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Burr Oak, Kansas.
Born on February 18, 1943, in Burr Oak, KS, he was the son of the late Albert Clell Hancock and Gertude Allen Miller Hancock. Mr. Hancock spent much of his career as a dedicated insurance agent before his retirement. Outside of work, he found great joy in tending to his plants and working in his garden, where he found joy and tranquility among the things he grew. He was of the Christian faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Kay Knight Hancock, his brothers, Alan Hancock and Dennis Hancock, and his granddaughter, Julianna Morris.
Mr. Hancock is survived by his son, David Israel Hancock, and wife, Kim of Doerun; daughter, Tirzah Hancock Morris of Loveland, Colorado; grandchildren, Samantha Kressin, Jody Morris, Zachery Hancock, and Jacob Hancock, and great-grandchildren, Mason Kressin, Lucy Hancock, Riley Kressin, and Isaac Hancock.
