Gary David Havel

The family of Gary Havel of Emmaus, Pennsylvania is saddened to announce his passing on October 25, 2025. at the age of 73. He is preceded in death by his parents Marjorie and Kenneth Havel and his brother-in-law Jeff Drowos. Gary will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Linda Drowos and Debbie Maroon, his brother-in-law Mike Maroon, nephews and nieces: Bryan (Joanna) Drowos, Michael Maroon, Haley (Matt) Trepel great niece and great nephew, Lila and Jackson Drowos.
Gary grew up in Chatham, New Jersey and graduated from Chatham High School in the Class of 1970. He went on to graduate from Elizabethtown College with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He retired from Everest Insurance Co. in Warren, N.J. as the Manager of the Claims Department. After retirement, Gary moved to Emmaus, Pennsylvania where he enjoyed socializing with friends and visiting family.
Gary will be remembered by friends and neighbors who affectionately called him " The Mayor" for his friendly demeanor, kindness, and willingness to help others. A private family service will be held. Contributions in Gary's memory may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
