Gary Helton Obituary

Gary E. Helton, age 69, passed away January 11, 2022. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was also known for making sausage for many years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. "He was my heart, my best friend, my everything," – Carolyn Helton.
He is preceded in death by his sons, Andrew Helton and James "Scooter" Franks; parents, Edward and Rachel Grimes Helton; uncle, Jake Helton; parents-in-law, James and Jimmie Bradley; sister-in-law, Sharon Whetstein.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Carolyn Helton; daughters, Tracy Franks, Susy Schelde and Bridgette (Mike) Silvas; son, Richard (Linda) Franks; nephews, Jake Helton, Mark Dixon and Glenn Tilman; sisters, Karen McHenry, Carmen Helton and Toni Kenney; brothers, Raymond Hillman, Calvin Hillman, Ronnie (Cookie) Bradley, and Dalton (Sandra) Bradley; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
The Visitation for Gary E. Helton will be Friday, January 14, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home, Lucedale, Mississippi. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, January 18, 2022 beginning at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6 in Hitchcock, Texas, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. The Committal Services will follow in Hayes Grace Memorial Park.
