Gary Lee Hogrefe

Gary Lee Hogrefe, 77, of Napoleon, Ohio passed away on May 29, 2023. He was born in napoleon on September 3, 1945 to Henry and Neva (Rettig) Hogrefe. He attended St. Paul Lutheran School in Napoleon.
Gary co-owned and operated Hogrefe Auto Parts, Inc with his brothers. He also enjoyed collecting classic cars. Gary liked to travel and take rides around the countryside. He was a hard worker and would help anyone in need. Gary loved his pets, especially his dog, Casper and cat, Bandit. Sitting outside and enjoying the birds was a favorite pastime. His huge heart and gentle soul will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Gary is survived by his sisters-in-law, Barbara Hogrefe and Trudy Hogrefe; nieces and nephews, Connie Froelich, Joann Pennington, Danny Hogrefe, Janice Hogrefe, Marian Moore, Sandy Hupp, and Ted Hogrefe; and many great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene Hogrefe and Robert Hogrefe.
Funeral services will be private for the family. Interment will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery, Napoleon. Memorial contributions may be made to the Henry County Humane Society.
