He was born May 27, 1948, in Honaker, Virginia, to the late Bernard and Leona Pearl Shepard Honaker.
Surviving are his wife, Rhonda McCloskey, of Chillicothe; daughters, Audie Honaker, of Chillicothe, Leona Honaker, of Chillicothe and Helena Honaker, of Chillicothe; sons, Josh Honaker, of Chillicothe and Jamie R. Honaker, of Texas; grandchildren, Eli Curtiss, Taylie Honaker, Natalie Honaker, Kayden Curtiss, Rose Honaker and James Honaker; several great grandchildren; a brother, Bobby (Lois) Honaker, of Delaware, OH; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Jimmy Honaker and sisters, Bernice Toomey and Janet Honaker.
Gary was a construction worker. He loved being outdoors and horses, but above all, he loved spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2022 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Ronnie Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in McCloskey Honaker Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Ware Funeral Home.
