Gary Jacobsen, 60, passed away on January 16, 2024, in Salt Lake City, Utah from complications due to diabetes.
Gary was born on June 28, 1963, in Salt Lake City, UT, to Michael Bird Jacobsen and Marilyn Palmer Jacobsen.
Gary was best known to be an avid fisherman, hunter, and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a devout Pittsburgh Steelers and Utah Utes fan. Gary was a very hard-working person, willing to help family and friends with any projects they had. He was skilled at painting, carpentry, and woodworking. If Gary put his mind to it, he could accomplish just about anything.
He was extremely proud of his daughter and grandchildren.
Gary is survived by daughter Justina Ibarra (Adrian), grandchildren Danyella, Yovany, and Yaretzi Ibarra, mother Marilyn Jacobsen, father Michael Jacobsen, brother Todd Jacobsen (Tina), sister Cathy Bugni (Greg), nephew Gregory Bugni, and nieces Casandra Thacker (Trent), Tiffany Brimhall (Justin), Tawny Varos (Jordan), Tessa McCombs (Austin) and many more family and friends.
Gary is preceded in death by grandmothers Lucille Allred, Alice Cramer, uncles Dennis Palmer, Douglas Palmer, Dee Jacobsen, and brother-in-law Greg Bugni
A social gathering for Gary will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, 11:00AM - 2:00PM at McDougal's Funeral Home 4330 South Redwood Rd, SLC
