Gary L. Jones, age 79, of Punta Gorda, FL and previously of Conneaut Lake, passed away Saturday evening, January 10, 2026, surrounded by family in Punta Gorda, FL.
He was born in Meadville on June 26, 1946, the son of Lyle and Evelyn (Hobbs) Jones.
He was a graduate of Meadville Area High School and on September 11, 1982, Gary married the former Laura H. Succop, she survives.
He was a registered master plumber, owning and operating Jones Plumbing & Heating.
He was of the Protestant faith and was a former member of the Meadville Community Theater and BPOE #219.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years; a daughter Beth Urquhart of Punta Gorda, FL and a son Brian Jones of Lehigh Acres, FL; 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 brothers Neil Jones of Saegertown, PA, Lee Earl Jones of Boone, NC, a sister, Kay Elaine (Jones) Nageotte of Meadville, PA and and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Lyle E. Jones.
