Carol Ann (Wenzel) Herchenroether, age 78, of Conneaut Lake passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026, in Meadville Medical Center.

Carol was born on March 27, 1947, in New Kensington, PA, to Bertha Leja-Wenzel. She is survived by James Herchenroether, her husband of 57 years, with whom she loved every moment of their life together.

She was the dear sister of Mary Louise (Roger) Sapp of North Fort Myers, FL, and Dee (Bill) Wokutch of Shaler, PA. Carol also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

A hairdresser and business owner for most of her life until she and Jim retired to Conneaut Lake. Carol had many wonderful friends that she made countless memories with. She was known for giving her personally made gifts, as well as her time, and resources to anyone in need and was a dedicated volunteer and mentor for multiple organizations. She was a devout Catholic and member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church.

She will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in her honor to your local Alzheimer's Association or a memory care/hospice facility. Per Carol's wishes, there will not be a service.
