Gary Glen Kaiser, age 84 of Mesa, AZ went to be with Jesus on October 10th, 2022. He died peacefully at home with his loved ones.

Gary was born on December 20th, 1937, on his family's farm in Durham, Kansas. He is the son of Henry and Anna Kaiser. He grew up in Durham and graduated from Durham High School. As a young man, Gary served in the U.S. Army and then Army Reserves from 1958-1962. While attending business school, he met and fell in love with Sandy Caruthers, who he married on April 14th, 1962, in Salina, Kansas. Gary and Sandy moved to Arizona in 1962, where Gary owned and operated Texaco service stations. Gary and Sandy had three children, Darla, Scott, and then Christy.

Despite being a self-employed business owner, Gary still had a variety of interests and enjoyed many things in life. He worked hard but he played hard too. Many of these interests revolved around outdoor adventures with his family, fishing, camping, and exploring. He also enjoyed backyard gardening, listening to great music, and watching all the sports. He rarely missed a Diamondbacks or Suns game, even if he had to record and re-watch the parts of the game that he accidently slept through. He was a connoisseur of fine biscuits and gravy and every kind of road-trip food from Twinkies and Polar Pops to sunflower seeds. But all these things paled in comparison to his gigantic love for God and the people He made. His favorite thing to do was spend time with his kids, grand and great-grand kids. Gary wasn't best known for his hobbies or talents, though they were many. He was instead always known as one of the world's most gracious, kind, and gentle souls.

Gary is survived by his wife, Sandy Kaiser, his daughter Darla (Kevin) Wilson, his son Scott (Dawn) Kaiser, and his daughter Christy (Dan) Williams, as well as his brother, Virgil, of Augusta, KS. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Anna Kaiser and his brother, Marvin.

Services for Gary Kaiser will be held at Journey of Grace Church of the Nazarene in Mesa, AZ on Saturday, October 22nd, 2022, at 1:00 p.m.
