Gary Arthur Larsen, 62, of Willow Street, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at his home. Born in Bethpage, NY, he was the son of the late Arthur H., Jr. and Agnes (Benson) Larsen.
Gary was a graduate of Berner High School in Massapequa, NY, class of 1978. He attended SUNY – Farmingdale and went on to be employed by John Sauder Auto Group as an auto body and collision repair technician, retiring with 33 years of service.
In addition to his employment, Gary also restored antique and classic cars. Another love of his life was model trains. He was a collector of Lionel Trains and anything related to the Long Island Railroad. He performed repair to model trains, volunteered at the Toy Train Museum in Strasburg, and was a member of the Train Collectors Association. Gary was a member of Lancaster Alliance Church, where he played trombone in the orchestra and served as a sound technician.
Gary is survived by a brother, Kenneth P. Larsen, husband of Sandra, of Florida, and sisters, Joan E. Davidson, wife of Robert W., of Zanesville, OH, Darleen L. Mylin, wife of David B., of Holtwood, and Donnalee L. Mylin, wife of James B., of Washington Boro. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service for Gary will be announced at a later date.

I sat next to Gary in homeroom in high school. We talked about autobody repair alot. He was a great guy and friend. I am sad to hear of his passsing. May he RIP.
