Gary D. Legg, 83, of Port St. Lucie, FL went home to the Lord on May 16, 2023 surrounded by his beloved family.
Born in Lincoln, IL on February 5, 1940 to Donald and Marian Legg. He married Shirley Hughes in Mason City, IL on October 9, 1982.
Gary worked as an over the road truck driver for 33 years, after retiring from the road he was a custodian at his church. Gary loved doing yard work, when he was 77 years old, he mowed 7 yards for people in his neighborhood. Gary also loved photography, bird watching, and going to parks.
Gary was a devoted Christian and Member of Christ Fellowship Church of Port St Lucie, FL. He served in the audio/video ministry for many years with his home church as well as working with World Changers.
Gary was a devoted husband and father, and missed his family terribly when he was driving over the road. He will be forever missed by his beloved wife Shirley; his beloved children, Sons – Donald (Connie) Legg and Mark (Deidra) Legg; Daughters – Deidra Legg, Donna (Michael) Baumker; sister, Bette (Bruce) Anderson. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Angella Rogers, Patrick (Shawna Heart) Legg, Kristan (Brian) Whalen, Skylar (Jason) Resendiz, Rebecca Legg, Caleigh Legg, & Aidan Baumker, as well as his great-grandchildren, Johnny Legg, Oliver Legg, Layla Resendiz, Keelan Resendiz, Merida Whalen. He joins in heaven, parents: Donald & Marian Legg, & daughter Diana O’Steen.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 2PM to 3PM with a service to start at 3PM at the Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL 34984.
