Gary Leopold Obituary
Gary was born May 28, 1963, in Mexico, Missouri, son to Larry and Carol (McDermott) Leopold. Gary graduated from Northeast Missouri State in 1985 with his bachelor's degree in engineering. He worked for Wabtec as a Principal Engineer. He married Mary Boyd on March 22, 1986, in Grinnell, Iowa.
Gary loved to go for walks, bike, grill, watched sporting events, hang out with his dogs, help others, and especially loved spending time with his kids.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Leopold; mother, Carol "Susie" Leopold; children, Matt, Ben (Sam), Jake, Nick, and Annie; brother, Tom (Kim) Leopold; mother-in-law, Mazie Boyd; dogs, Oli and Jax; many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; many nieces and nephews; and many loving family members and friends.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Larry Leopold.
Memorials may be made to the family with the intention of donating the memorials to Mount Vernon students in need.
