Timothy Leopold Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Smoky Mountain Cremations and Funeral Service on Jan. 7, 2026.
Timothy Ryan Leopold, 56, passed away on December 20, 2025, one day after his birthday. Timothy was born on December 19, 1969, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Scott G. Leopold and Cheryl Leopold.
Timothy was preceded in death by his father, Scott G. Leopold; his maternal grandparents, R. Louise Perry and Kenneth Perry; his paternal grandparents, Marion and Gordon Leopold; his great-grandmother, Mimi Kiepert; his uncle, Thomas Kitzrow; and his great-uncle, Edward Kiepert, all of whom he loved deeply and held close throughout his life.
Timothy was known for his sharp wit and distinctive sense of humor-often dry, quick, and thoughtfully understated-which brought laughter to those who truly knew him. He had a lifelong love of sports, especially soccer, which he played in high school and continued well beyond. Athletics remained an important part of his life, reflecting his competitive spirit, dedication, and love of staying active. Timothy was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing.
He is survived by his mother, Cheryl Leopold; his children, Jackson Leopold and Courtney Leopold; his aunts, Deborah Kitzrow and Robin Shaffer (Dan); his uncle, Kipp Leopold (Sue); his cousins Amy Johnston (Don), Beth Nelson (Chris), Andrew 'Andy' Kitzrow (Sara), Meghan Duffy (John), and Kristy Leopold (Drew); former spouse Noel Leopold, and many additional cousins, nieces, and nephews. Timothy's memory will continue to live on through the family who loved him and the countless moments of laughter, competition, and connection he shared with those around him.
No services will be held at this time.
Smoky Mountain Cremations and Funeral Service of Maggie Valley is caring for the family and the online register is available at www.smokymountaincremations.com.
