Gary F. Lewis of Colchester, formally of Wethersfield, passed away September 30, 2024. He was the son of Harold and Joan Lewis. Gary had many passions, he loved the 49ers, was a Red Sox and Mets fan, and he enjoyed watching NASCAR. In the snow, he loved to snowmobile. Gary was an active parishioner of Rocky Hill Methodist Church, helping around the facilities and was giving and benevolent to anyone in need.
In addition to his parents, he leaves his two children, Evan Lewis of Wethersfield and Amy Lewis of Bristol, his wife, Karen Lewis, and his precious granddaughter, Aurora. He also leaves his brother Wynn and Kelly Lewis, his sister Nancy and Jim Franklin, and his sister-in-law, Donna Lynch who he resided with. He will also be missed by Troy, Jax, and Hunter, Lori and Brian Shields, his mother-in-law, Nancy DiBattista and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his identical twin brother, Terry Lewis.
Friends and relatives are invited to call on the Lewis family on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 12 p.m. at the Rocky Hill, 623 Old Main Street, Rocky Hill. A Memorial Service celebrating Gary's life will take place at 1 p.m. in his church.
