Gary Kent Lindloff, 76, passed away on November 13th, 2023 at Emerson Senior Living Home in Arlington, Tx. He was born on December 21, 1946 in Waco, Tx to Paul and Fern Lindloff.

Gary grew up in Waco, Tx and other towns throughout Texas and the United States. He graduated from Chamberlain Hunt Academy in Port Gibson, Mississippi in June of 1967.

After graduation, Gary found his way to Houston to rejoin his family and briefly attended South Texas Junior college before he settled down into a long and productive work life at various positions in Houston.

He was involved in the First United Methodist Church of Houston’s Choir, where he enjoyed singing and met his bride to be, Kay Yvonne Littrell.

Gary married Kay on October 20, 1972 in Houston, Tx. They were happily married for 27 years. Gary was a devoted family man and was always an enthusiastic member of the Methodist Congregation. He enjoyed attending sporting events, visiting friends and traveling whenever the opportunity arose. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and if that could be done while traveling then that was all the better. He also greatly enjoyed his time as the pastor’s husband during the years his wife served as a circuit preacher for the United Methodist Church conference. Combining his love of the Lord and his love for his wife may have been one of the fondest periods of his life. After Kay passed in 1999, Gary eventually found love again with his second wife Pamela Hall Spicer. They married in 2003 on Valentines Day and lived together in Shawnee, Ok. Here Gary got his first opportunity to be a grandfather to Bethany Rene Coppinger. Gary and Pam lived happily until 2014 when Pam passed away.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Fern Lindloff, wife: Kay Yvonne Lindloff and wife: Pamela Hall Spicer-Lindloff.

Gary is survived by his son, Kent Lindloff and wife, Dana, of Dallas, Tx; daughter, Paula Lindloff and partner, Michael Huffman of Fort Worth, Tx; brother, Keith Lindloff and wife Patti of Houston, Tx; Nephews Joshua Lindloff and wife Courtney and Benjamin Miller and his wife, Mary. Stepdaughter Audrey Green and husband James. His grandchildren, Bethany Coppinger and husband Brice, Jordan Porter and husband D’artagnan, Dylan Blyzes, Parker Blyzes; his great-grandchildren, Copelen and Baker Wilson, Stetson Knox, and Lennox Porter.

A funeral service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home, 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd, Kennedale, Tx 76060 at 10:00am, November 21, 2023. A visitation will be held at the same location from 3:00pm to 7:00pm, November 20, 2023. Burial will follow at Emerald Hills Memorial Park.
