Gary V. Lonsinger, 83, Altoona, passed away Monday, September 16, 2024 at his home. Born September 7, 1941, Altoona, son of the late Edward W. and Dora M. (Weld) Lonsinger. Preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Mickle; brothers, Ed L. Lonsinger, Floyd “Roger” Lonsinger, Dorsey Lonsinger, and Ernest “Alan” Lonsinger. Survived by his brother, Gordon Lonsinger; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and special friends, Sharon and Ken Kutz. Gary attended the Altoona Area School District. He worked for Brownies Potato Chips and Gearharts Moving & Storage. Gary was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and served as a sexton. Friends and family will be received Friday, September 20, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m., Trinity Lutheran Church, 408 N. 6th St., Altoona, Pastor Eli Hess officiant. Interment Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Altoona. Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, an Anderson Family Firm, 1222 13th Ave., Altoona. Condolences may be made at JonesFHAltoona.com
