Gary L. Maricle, 83, of Carmi passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. He was born October 21, 1941 in Peoria, IL to Louis and Carrie (Duckworth) Maricle. Gary was a 1959 graduate of Enfield High School. He married Alice Colliver on December 31, 1966 in Carmi. Gary retired from Champion Labs as a tool and die maker.
Gary truly lived life to the fullest through simple joys; picking pecans, watching sports including the Chicago Cubs and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Alice; sister, Marty Loyd; son Todd (Tracy) Maricle; daughter, Tammy (Casey) Coale; grandchildren, Ryan (Candi) Stocke, Tanner (Regan) Maricle, Trenton (Kourtney) Veach, Treyson (Ashley) Maricle, Shaelyn (Jake) Rubenacker, Zach (Curtlyn) Coale, Dacin Rudolph; and great-grandchildren, Nahla, Adalynn, Jadelyn, Damon, Benji, Landry, Banks, Logsdon, Saylor, Kallen, Aemelia and Simeon. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Chester, Roscoe and Jack Maricle.
Funeral services for Gary L. Maricle, 83, of Carmi will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 3, 2025 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in White County Memorial Garden in Carmi. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made in Gary's memory to the Ronald McDonald House, 3540 Washington Ave., Evansville, IN 47714 and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi or by mail 609 W.
