Gary Lynn Marshall, 82, passed away on October 1, 2025 at his home in Logandale, NV surrounded by loved ones. Gary was born in Overton, NV on March 5, 1943 to John Lawrence Marshall and Helen Hazel Spencer. He grew up working on his father’s dairy farm and milked a lot of cows. He was a hard worker and got other jobs with local farmers while attending school. He enjoyed playing in the high school band. After graduating from Moapa Valley High School, he got a job at Simplot Silica mine, and in 1965 he joined the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. While working as an Intelligence officer, he had a call to the MGM Grand Hotel where he met Vikki Salome, who worked at the MGM as Security secretary. It was love at first sight. After a whirlwind courtship, they were married on July 24, 1974 in Las Vegas, NV and combined their families together. They were later sealed in the St. George Temple for time and all eternity on February 1, 1979. Gary retired from Metro in 1996, after which he started his own construction company, Moapa Valley Builders.

Gary loved fishing, raising apricots, grapes and pomegranates, and flying his Cessna 172. He enjoyed building and liked collecting antiques. He was a man of faith and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He strived to emulate his Savior, Jesus Christ, and worked to develop Christ-like attributes. He held many callings in the Church including President of the Singles Branch for four years and a Temple ordinance worker for several years. He had a big heart and just wanted to help people. He loved his role as a father and as a grandfather and loved being with his family.

Gary is survived by his wife, Vikki Salome Marshall; his children, Kenneth (Debbie) Marshall, John (Debbie) Marshall, David (Denise) Marshall and Yivi (Michael) Van Ermen; his thirteen grandchildren, and his seventeen great- grandchildren; his brothers, Ronald (Erlene) Marshall and Eugene (Beverlee) Marshall. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Helen Marshall; his son, Todd (Cozette) Marshall; five great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Lloyd Marshall and Geraldine Barton.
