Gary Martinez
May 30, 1985 – December 29, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Martinez, a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, and nephew. Gary was loved by many and was known for his comical, fun-loving demeanor and kind heart.
Gary was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather David Martinez; his uncles Steve and Louie Martinez; and his cousin, Louie Martinez Jr.
He is survived by his mother Beverly Martinez and stepfather Victor Valdez; his father Richard Martinez; brother, Brandyn Valdez (Angelica); sister Bryana Martinez (Bryan); his grandmother Lena Martinez; son Damian Martinez; daughters, Mya (George), Felicity, and Amberly Martinez. He is also survived by his uncle, Dave (Barbara), and his aunt, Mandy (Mike). Gary leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who brought him endless joy.
Gary found peace in the outdoors, whether camping or riding side-by-sides with his children and beloved Dobermans. He enjoyed traveling and spending extended time in Colombia.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Sacred Heart Church in Española.
Wake: 10:00 a.m.
Funeral Mass: 11:00 a.m.
Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
