Gary Lee Massie, age 62, passed away Friday, January 2, 2026 at his home in Ashville, OH with his wife Wanda by his side. He was born May 17, 1963 in Columbus, OH to Bobby Massie and Ruth Adams. Gary was a loved and respected employee of Roehrenbeck Electric for 40 years. He loved to hunt and spend lots of time with his family and friends. Gary is preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Adams and father, Bobby Massie; special friend, John Sharp. Gary is survived by his wife of 28 years, Wanda (Busby) Massie, of Ashville; siblings, Robert Massie of Ashville, Teresa (Lou) Newsome of Columbus, Tracy Adams of Columbus, and Stacy (Everett) Horn of Mt. Sterling; step children, Amy Frazier (Alan Gillespie) of Laurelville and William "Sonny" (Brandi) Parsley of Laurelville; grandchildren, Anyssa (Joe) Giffin of Chillicothe, Emily Frazier (Jeremy Purdin) of Circleville, and Kyle Frazier of Circleville; great grandchildren, Wyatt and Kinley; special friends, Darrell Lovett of Columbus, Danny Wright of Ashville, and Darin Myers of Ashville; special canine companion, Muttlee. Visitation will be Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the MYERS-WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME, 587 Main St. in Groveport, OH where funeral service will be Friday, January 9, 2026 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Reber Hill Cemetery in Ashville, OH.
