Gary devoted many years of his life to the air force, serving during the end of Vietnam era and re-enlisting in the 80's. where he spent many years in Okinawa, Japan. Upon his return to the US, years later he found love again with an old friend from St. John's UCC church, where he and Carol met over 20 years prior to their marriage in 2001.
Family was a source of anxiety and joy. Gary loved to talk and share stories that would make people laugh. Gary spent much of his years with Carol taking care of their family, including caretaking of his parents (LaVern and Bill) before they passed. Gary was a kind man, who always gave people a chance and made them smile. We will miss his humor and his participation in family games that often had us all rolling in laughter, always the clown and very silly.
Thank you, Gary, for 23 years of memories, and the life ride we took together. You will always be in my heart, with all my love, Carol. "See you later; you never liked to say "goodbye" "
Special thank you to the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital, ER, and ICU, and Chaplain.
Thanks to Pastor Lu Fuhrman and Pastor Lynn Martin of St. John UCC Appleton, and Immanuel UCC in Kaukauna
