Gary Eugene Metros II, 53, of Saint Augustine, FL died unexpectedly on December 24, 2023, from illnesses that he suffered, while at his stay in ICU in the hospital. He was at peace with family and loved ones by his side until his passing. His loss was unexpected and the family is so very deeply saddened.
Gary was born on July 7th, 1970 to Gary Eugene Metros and Mary Anna Lehe in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Gary moved to Saint Augustine, FL as a young child, and then briefly moved to Puerto Rico. He moved back to Saint Augustine, shortly after, where he resided with his family for the remainder of his years.
As a young boy, he worked in the restaurant industry throughout the early part of his life. He had a strong passion for cooking and enjoyed preparing meals for everyone. Later, Gary went to school for truck driving. After completing his license requirements, he drove for several different companies until his passing.
Gary was passionate about many things including cooking, and traveling to unique places. He also enjoyed many other wonderful hobbies, but his greatest passion was his family. His children were the loves of his life that kept him motivated to accomplish more in life. His strength showed immensely with his work ethic and strong will to push forward.
Gary is survived by his son Brandon Metros, daughters Lacey and Eris Metros, father Gary Metros, mother Mary Lehe, two sisters Elaine Metros, and Elise Lawrence, her husband Michael Lawrence, brother Justin Metros and his wife Dana Metros. He had many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews that he was survived by as well. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Thomas and Nina Lehe, Eugene and Eula Metros.
Anyone who knew Gary knew that he was incredibly kind-hearted. He wanted to help the world with his soul. He would do anything for anyone and could always be depended on. Gary's family and friends will miss him more than words can say.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at St. Johns Family Funeral Home in St. Augustine. The family will receive visitors one hour before the service.
