Gary Lee Moats

Gary Lee Moats, 70, of Falling Waters, WV, passed away, Thursday, February 22, 2024, surrounded by his family at his home.
Born Sunday, March 15, 1953 in Tilghmanton, MD, he was the son of the late Charles Moats and the late Vivian Arlene (Smith) Moats.
Gary graduated from Boonsboro High School in 1971. He was active with his class alumni. Gary was a member of the E-Z Cruzers, Williamsport Red Men Lodge 84, and the Williamsport American Legion Post 1. Gary was a drummer with several bands, including Bojangles, Bogart, and Chubby.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Cindy (Bowers) Moats; sons, Bradley (wife Samantha) of Greencastle, PA, Travis (wife Amber) of Falling Waters, WV and Cody Moats of Falling Waters, WV; grandsons, Colton, Owen, Cashton, and Zane Moats; brothers, Tiran (wife Teresa) of Hagerstown, MD and Wes (wife Donna) of Williamsport, MD; and sister, Lisa Hahn of Dover, DE.
Services will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 1:00 pm, at the Bright Light Baptist Church, 9379 Williamsport Pike Falling Waters, WV, with Pastor Daniel Rutherford officiating.
Family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm prior to the service.
Interment will be at the Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery, Bakersville, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to help in their time of need.
