Gary Homer "Papa" Molinere

Gary "Papa" Homer Molinere, 80, a native and resident of Montegut, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 21, 2025 while surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy Billiot Molinere; children, Corey P. Molinere (Chanda), Corina Valdez (Steve), Cristi Hebert (Nicholas), and Crystal Molinere (Robert); seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; siblings, Kenneth and Floyd Molinere, and Carolyn Ordoyne; and many extended family members and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his infant son; parents, Cleveland and Irene Gallet Molinere; and brothers, Glenn and J.C. Molinere.
Affectionately known as "Papa", Gary will forever be remembered as a simple yet larger than life kind of man, who always enjoyed a good conversation. He enjoyed listening to his Swamp Pop music, dancing, cutting up, going to church, and spending time with family and friends. Gary will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him, but his family has comfort in knowing that he is at peace.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Bourg Baptist Church from 10:00 am until the memorial service at 11:00 am.
