Gary Dwight Mollohan, 83, passed away December 28, 2025 at Admirals Pointe Nursing Home in Huron.
He was born in Lorain, Ohio on June 26, 1942 to Virgil and Helen (Lee) Mollohan and was a graduate of Vermilion High School. After high school he joined the Ohio National Guard and later worked at Lorain Products where he met the love of his life, Mary "Cookie" Miller. Gary had a passion for motorcycles and made it a career for many years. His greatest passion though was animals, having had many pets in his lifetime. He was also a watercolor artist and enjoyed traveling, especially to Europe and Africa.
Gary was many things, a quiet man who was a great listener and always willing to help and never needing thanks. To all his nieces and nephews, he was the "funcle" giving advice on questionable practicality and the activities that began with "Don't tell your parents.". He was the first to say yes, the last to follow rules, and the reason many childhood memories include laughter and mild chaos.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Mary Mollohan and cousin, Mike Heys, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lee Mollohan; sister and brother-in-law, Vedah and Bill Balduff and partner, Cookie Miller.
In his memory, we ask that you consider a donation to the Erie County Humane Society.
