Gary Michael Morgan

Gary Michael "Mike" Morgan, 72, of McCrory, and formerly of Nashville, Tennessee, passed from this life on Sunday, April 28, 2024 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. He was born November 15, 1951 in Florence, Alabama a son of the late Louis Earl and Eula Mae (Hill) Morgan. He was a 1969 graduate of East High school in Nashville, Tennessee. Mike was a licensed funeral director for many years in the Nashville area. He was loved far and wide by the countless families he served over the years. Mike was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He was also a member of the Masonic order and Shriner. Mike had a soft spot for animals and loved his companions, Jake, his loyal golden doodle, and Jazzy, his loving cat. Some of his favorite hobbies were golfing and watching the Tennessee Titans and Vanderbilt teams play football. Family was an important part of his life; he was proud to be a husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Morgan; children, Kim Way (Brian) and Philip Wiggins (Angela); grandchildren, Courtney Reddell (Colten), Britney Hart (Garrett), Anna Leigh Browning (Trevor), Dylan Browning, Carly Wiggins (Jackson), Carson Stracner (Harley) Garrett Stracner (Sheridan), Mary Grace Wiggins and Andrew Manuel; great-grandchildren, Teagan Hall, Lynlee Stracner and Jackson Hart; brother-in-law, Larry Hoffman (Iva); daughter-in-law, Kim Browning; niece, Laura Elizabeth Estes (David); great-niece, Katelyn Estes and a grandson by love, Vincent Jadlong Browning.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Wayne Browning and a granddaughter, Megan Browning.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home in Bald Knob. Graveside services, with military honors will follow on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Pumpkin Bend Cemetery near McCrory. Bro. Larry Hoffman will officiate. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Philip Wiggins, Dylan Browning, Brian Way, Vincent Browning, Mark Way, Larry Hoffman and Mike Hancock.
