Gary Nesheim

Gary Nesheim, 76, Sawyer, ND, entered into God's kingdom on Sunday, May 28, 2023, in his home.
Gary Nesheim was born February 6, 1947, the son of Florence and John Nesheim in Roseau, MN. At a young age, Gary moved with his family to Sawyer, ND, where he was raised and educated. It was there that he met his future wife, Sandra "Sandy".
After graduation, he worked at various places in Sawyer and Minot, which included: Simonson's Gas Station, Nitrogreen Lawn Service and finally the City of Minot, where he retired from in 2013.
In June of 1966, Gary and Sandra were married and they moved to Sawyer. In November of 1966, Gary got a letter from the President of the United States inviting him to join the US Army. He was stationed in Germany after basic training and was there until his discharge in 1968.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, playing pinochle, and drinking warm Busch Lights.
His loving family includes:
wife of 56 years, Sandra, Sawyer, ND; children, Brent (Ann) Nesheim, Minot, and Barb (Michelle Hemstad) Nesheim, Minot; grandchildren, Brock, Alexis, Bode and Benson; brother, Lawrence Nesheim; and several cousins.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harley, Calvin and Norman Nesheim; sister, Arla Faye Nesheim; and brother, Phillip Davis.
At Gary's request, there will be no formal services.
Burial will take place at Willow Township Cemetery, rural Sawyer, ND.
