Gary Lee Nibert, 63 of Richwood, died peacefully Saturday afternoon July 8, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born November 10, 1959 in Marion to William and Johna (Eaches) Nibert.
Gary was a 1978 graduate of the North Union High School. He was a welder by trade.
Gary was a free spirit and a people person; he loved having fun and was willing to help anyone at any time. He cherished his time camping (Riverbend at Caledonia was a favorite) and was known to portray "Jolly Old St. Nick" during Christmas time (he had fun with this).
But the true center of his life was his large and loving family, he loved spending time with them, they were very special to him.
Surviving is his wife, Angela (Hammond) Nibert, they were married August 28, 1999 in Raymond, his mom, Johna Nibert of Richwood, his children, Branden (Brittney) Nibert of Hilliard, Nikki (Matt) Hancock of Marion, Levi Nibert of Columbus, Megan Carter of Marysville, Dylan (Kristen) Nibert of Columbus, Dominic Nibert of Richwood, Justice Nibert of Marion and Jillian Nibert of Richwood
16 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter
Siblings, Larry Nibert of Richwood and Theresa (Charlie) Jordan of Richwood
He was preceded in death by his father, William Nibert, a daughter, Harli Dawn Nibert, a grandchild and a sister, Sherry Nibert Jones
Funeral services will be held Thursday July 13, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. Burial will follow in the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-7 pm at the funeral home in Richwood.
