Gary Franz Norman

Gary Franz Norman, born March 23, 1951 (age 74) of Sterling Heights, Michigan, passed away on January 20, 2026, after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Detroit, Michigan to his late parents, Knute and Esther Norman. Beloved Husband of 51 years to Cheryl, and proud Father of Gary (Kristie), Tracey and Lisa (Remi) Butera. Adored Grandfather (Papa) of Jack, Emma, Lexi and Maddie. Dear brother of Marybeth (Bill) Stubner, the late Ruth Ann (Herb) Hughes and the late Michael (Cindy) Norman. Eight nieces and nephews, extended family and many lifelong friends.

Having held a 30+ year career at AMC/Chrysler, Gary found joy in retirement with as much golf, bike riding and spending time with family and friends as possible. Loved hanging out in his garage, playing darts, watching tv and staying warm with his wood burning stove named Nellie. Very proud of his Swedish and Finnish heritage. Will forever be Viking strong.
