Gary Ott Obituary
Gary Steven “Steve” Ott, 73 of North Lawrence, passed away Monday, March 9, 2026. Born June 23, 1952 in Orrville to the late Wilbert and Gay (Moore) Ott; he retired in 2015 from Wheeling and Lake Erie Railroad after 44 years of service.
Steve enjoyed reading, collecting stamps, fishing and bird watching.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, JoAnne (Schaer) Ott. Steve is survived by his brothers, Melvin (Joan) Ott and Sonny (Jane) Ott; brother-in-law, Bob (Vickie) Schaer; sister-in-law, Debra Schaer; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held SATURDAY, March 14, 2026, 12:00pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. Burial at Newmans Creek Cemetery. Visitation ONE HOUR PRIOR to service time at the funeral home.
