Gary Anthony Rachas

Gary Anthony Rachas, age 72 of Paw Paw Illinois, entered into Heaven on Friday January 3, 2025 at Kishwaukee Hospital in Dekalb, Illinois surrounded by his family. Gary was born on July 14, 1952 in Waukegan Illinois, the son of Anthony and Ruby (Davis) Rachas. Gary was married on August 23, 1975 to Deborah Kaye Miller and they spent the next 40 years happily together until her passing in 2017. He attended Paw Paw Bible Church in Paw Paw, Illinois. He was employed for many years as a mechanic, farmer, and also the owner-operator of a truck company. Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Gary is survived by his son, Keith Anthony Rachas; his daughter, Shanna (Jason) Marie Long; his five grandchildren, Kara Thorpe, Chase (Isabelle) Thorpe, Kyla Rachas, Zachary Bruner, and Johnathan Rachas; three brothers, Terry Rachas, Tim (Beth) Rachas, and Kenneth (Summer) Rachas; his five sisters, Debbie Cameron, Sheila Daring, Cathy Slater, Rebecca (Thomas) Leneau, and Angela Jones;as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Rachas; his parents, Anthony and Ruby Rachas; and his son, Ryan M. Rachas. Memorial Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Shabbona Community Church, 104 E Navaho Shabbona, Illinois.
