Gary S. "Red" Ralston, 82, of Eldorado, passed away on, Sunday, September 7, 2025 in the Eldorado Rehab and Healthcare in Eldorado.
Gary was born in Grayville, IL on February 18, 1943 to the late Harry and Bessie (Barton) Ralston. He was a graduate of Eldorado High School class of 1961 and was a football star, he worked as a coal miner for 37 years until his retirement. He was a strong family man, loyal, and always made sure he said "I Love You and stay in the word" before saying goodnight.
On June 12, 1962 he married the former Lynda Bullock and she survives in Eldorado. He is also survived by his children, Tawana (Greg) Mullett, Gary Jr. (Joan) Ralston and Shane (Daphne) Ralston. Eight grandchildren, Brittney Ralston, Ben Mullett, Aaron Ralston, Shainna Ralston, Ryan Ralston, Colby Ralston, Eli Ralston and Austin Hall and three great grandchildren, Evan King, Ethan Maurer and Eric Maurer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Ralston.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday at Watson Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until service time of 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers memorials in his memory may be made to the 4 C's and envelopes will be available.
