Gary Reed Obituary

GARY LEE REED, 79, of Charleston, WV, passed away unexpectedly on December 23, 2025, at home in the loving arms of his wife and son.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Gerry Lee Reed, who's love and laughter brought so much joy to him through their wonderful life together; children, Jonathyn Michael Reed of Charlotte, NC, Tiata Kaye Atkins (Sean) of Savannah, GA, and Kimberly Lynn Reed of St. Albans, WV; grandchildren, Dalton Emery Clark, Cullen Reed Atkins, and Ivey Caroline Atkins; his brother, Michael Reed of Sissonville, WV; and his loyal companion, Sir Eric Clapton.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2026, at Oakwood Baptist Church, 855 Oakwood Road, Charleston, WV, with Pastor David Moutz officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior at the church.
