Gary Lee Scott, 55, of Marion, passed away Friday, April 25, 2025 at Deer Park Health & Rehabilitation in Nebo.
Gary was born in McDowell County, NC on August 4, 1969, to the late Oretha Scott and Leroy Logan. Gary enjoyed walking and being outdoors. He was a very kind hearted man who always enjoyed helping others in need. Most of all, Gary loved and cherished his aunt, Violet; and his sister, Siletha. Gary will always be loved and remembered.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Willie Scott, Sr. and Odie Scott; and two uncles, James “Tudy” Scott and Ronnie Scott.
He is survived by his sister, Siletha Scott; his aunt, Violet Freeman; nieces & nephews, Ronald Junior Davis, Shacodie Scott, and Brendon Thompson; cousins, Bryan Freeman, April Pennix, Jessica Taylor, Scottie Scott, and Leon Logan, Jr.; a host of other nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a special friend, Mechelle Smith.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Friday, May 2, 2025, at Beam Funeral Service.
