Pam Pendley Carter, age 63, of State Street Extension in Marion passed away Monday, February 2, 2026 at her home.
Born on December 18, 1962 in McDowell County, she was the daughter of the late David Lee Pendley and Geraldine Pendley who still survives. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Lee Pendley.
Pam was a member of the Bethel Freewill Baptist Church and was retired from Collins and Aikman in Old Fort. She was a gentle soul that was a people person that loved her family and she especially loved her children, nieces and nephews. She loved animals, particularly her cat and enjoyed working in her garden and flowers.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter; Brandi Strickland and husband, Chad, her son; Zach Carter, her mother; Geraldine Pendley, her brothers; Jeff Pendley and wife, Cyndi and Darin Pendley and wife, Melissa, her aunts; Judy Wood and Dora Fox, several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Pam Carter will be on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with the Rev. Kagan Young officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in the Bethel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
