Gary Gene See, age 73 of South Fork Road, Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday evening, September 25, 2023, surrounded by family at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born March 30, 1950, in Bass, WV, he was a son of the late William Simon See and Sophia Floretta Fitzwater See. Gary was preceded in death by wives Vicki Lynne See in July 1994 and Annamarie (Flynn) See in March 2023. An infant twin, Jerry Dean and an infant granddaughter also preceded him in death.
Gary was an outdoorsman, always finding time for fishing and hunting. For enjoyment, he enjoyed playing poker, often winning.
Surviving are his children, Dora (Bob) Fertig, Gayle Sherman, Belinda (Travis) Weatherholtz, Gary (Rebecca) See II, Jeremy See, Jackie Lee, Paul (Brandi) Lee, Elizabeth Granese and Shawn Granese; his siblings, Delmas (Una) See, Donald (Fern) See, Betty Harman and William (Teresa) See II; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, September 29, 2023, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor Frank Ketterman and Austin Helmick as officiants. Interment will follow in the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
