Gary Eugene Short, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and proud veteran, passed away in Corvallis, Oregon on November 4, 2025. He was 81.
Born on May 23, 1944, in Salem, Ohio, Gary was the beloved son of Macie Nadine Kendall and Gerald Oliver Short.
After graduating high school, Gary answered the call to serve his country, enlisting in the United States Marine Corps in 1962. He served with honor until 1966.
On September 16, 1967, Gary married the love of his life, Kathleen, in Gowanda, New York. Their union was a testament to enduring love and partnership, spanning more than five decades.
