Age 80, of Shaler Twp., on Friday, December 5, 2023, Gary was the beloved husband of Marlene Indof Sperl; father of Chris Sperl (Holly), Nick Sperl (Dawn), Angela Grzybowski (Sean); son of the late Joseph E. and Lois Coleman Sperl; brother of Chuck Sperl (Claudia), Len Sperl (Nancy); grandfather of Tiffany, Nikki, Ali, Brandi, Madison, Tyler, Olivia, Elliot, Avery; great-grandfather of Paityn, Cassidy, Maverick. Gary was a lover of golf, basketball in his younger years, and of course Pittsburgh sports. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially watching his grandchildren’s sporting events. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Celebrate Gary’s life with his family on Tuesday from 9-10 AM at PERMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Shaler Twp. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, St. Mary of the Assumption Church on Tuesday at 10:30 AM. The family respectfully suggests donations be made to Catholic Charities, Diocese of Pittsburgh, 212 9th St. Pittsburgh PA 15222 or the Light of Life Rescue Mission, 234 Voeghtly St, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
